I am not your typical Realtor. Even my About Me page isn’t going to have the same generic platitudes about quality and service. I do have high standards for both of these, and I promise to provide you with a 5-star experience, I’ll even put it in writing; but what makes me different than all the other agents out there?
The short answer is my background, read on for more detail…
From a young age, I wanted to sell real estate. My parents, who were both Realtors, used to take me to new housing developments as a child. I would run ahead into each new home, greet them when they walked in, and show them around the house, highlighting the various features and benefits that I knew were important to them.
Let me give you just a little more about my background so you can best understand my work ethic. I spent many years working as a recording engineer in Nashville, TN, earning many accolades and awards. Every project and session was different with varying budgets and timeframes, just like my clients today. To ensure success, the projects were broken down into stages; tracking – when we would record the band, overdubs – when we would record other specialized instruments, vocals – when we would record the lead and background vocals, and mixing – when we would blend all the parts together for a finished product. I take on each client today in much the same way. There are different stages to the home buying and/or selling process. I will guide you through these stages as we work with many other parties and vendors, with the final goal of blending it all together in a successful sale.
When you choose me to help you buy a home, know that I sit down with each client to gain a detailed understanding of what is important and find the houses that best meet those needs. As I show each house, I am making notes of what you like or don’t like and refine the search. I am not afraid to point out potential negatives and offer solutions. I never want any buyer I work with to feel like they were blindsided by something during or after the sale. You can count on my honesty at every turn.
When you choose me to sell your home, you can count on that same level of honesty. I will tell you the strengths and potential weaknesses you may face. We will address each and work to alleviate them prior to listing your home for sale. The goal, obviously, is to get the most for your home. To accomplish this, I spend a lot of time beforehand getting you and your home ready to list. Our initial consultation will be very detailed as I gather all the information I can to properly price and market your home. I do much more than just putting a sign in the yard and taking some pictures with my cell phone.
